NSWIS’ Matt Steiger continued his solid form recently by finishing in second place only one shot behind Jason Scrivener. Steiger shot rounds of 70 72 74 and a fantastic 67 on the final day.
The Men's Mandurah Easter Amateur is an Australian Men's Ranking Event. It is for players of any age, and is played over 72-holes stroke play.
It was a sentimental win for the world number 67 (Scrivener) which was achieved in front of his home club at Mandurah Country Club in Perth. The title went Scrivener’s way following rounds of 73-70-69-70.
Defending champion and overnight leader Daniel Beckmann finished in outright 3rd position at 4-under-par, with closing rounds of 75-69 after Beckmann opened with dual rounds of 70.
Beckmann finished a stroke ahead of Jin Jeong who finished in 5th position at 3-under-par.
